The masterclass held on 18th October 2019 brought out nearly 60 participants to Thoughtworks to learn and share about growth mindset and emotional intelligence. The goal was to Cultivate emotional intelligence skills and growth mindset to improve quality of life, relationships, self-perception, and performance at work.
The evening began with Lynn Teo sharing her experience participating in the 2019 Lean In Conference in San Francisco. Click here to know more about her conference highlights.
Thereafter, we are extremely grateful to have Anne Koopmann-Schimdt, an experienced leadership development consultant, to facilitate the workshop. Anne shared with us her stories and different competencies of emotional intelligence. The workshop was informative and interactive and our participants were actively participating in group actions and writing their action plans!
Some of the key highlights include:
- There is a strong link between our mindsets and our achievements, and we can change or shift our mindsets.
- It is not about being perfect. There are days where we can’t control our feelings and let’s forgive ourselves for that.
- Acknowledge our strengths and choose our battles accordingly.
We wish our participants the very best of luck in executing their action plans and throughout their leadership journeys. We are also thankful to have Thoughtworks as our venue sponsors, and the commitment and effort from our volunteers. *HUGS*
